“MK Series” Horizontal Shaft Impactors are slow speed, non – reversible equipment which uses high impact energy to crush the feed material. This equipment has a fabricated rotor which has solid impact blades mounted on the top and is propelled by an electric motor.
As the feed material enters the crushing radius of the rotor, the feed material gets shattered by the impact from rotating impact blades against the grinding wall.
At the lower portion of the crushing chamber, it is subjected to shearing and attrition to some extent producing quality output product with minimal percentage of fines.
MechTech “MK Series” horizontal Shaft impactor is an open bottom type unidirectional equipment consisting of fabricated housing having side liners in the crushing chamber. Specially designed, heavy duty fabricated rotor has high quality wear resistant steel.
Impact blades are mounted on the top through bolts on the rotor body. When these impact blades get worn out, it can be reversed and further utilized for crushing. The grinding wall carrying the grinding jibs are hinged at the top and supported by the spring loaded spindle for gap adjustment. This spring loaded spindle also acts as a safety device if an un- crushable material enters into the machine.
For ease of maintenance, “MK Series” HIS is designed to be offered with (on request) hydraulic jacks for opening of top housing. Depending upon the applications, “MK Series” HIS’s are propelled by electric motors through flexible/fluid coupling along with the belt drive.
